Its a sad start of affairs when two girls can't walk through the village enjoying themselves and minding their own business without some mindless children trying to bully them.

If you know children that go around in a gang, girl approx 13 years old with long blond hair, tall wearing a long fluffy jacket, hanging round a handful of boys one of them with a pug dog, Welsh accent let them know this sort of activity is unacceptable and I fully intend passing the details on to our local community PC to stamp this out.

Sorry to hear this and I totally agree with your decision to notify the police.

I am sorry to say that our daughter Sophie was also grabbed on the shoulder and verbally abused when up at the TCAM playground on Sunday by a young blonde girl with a pony tail who felt it necessary to call her "an anorexic sh**" when she was simply minding her own business and playing with her sister and other friends.

Anybody who knows Sophie will know that she is a pleasant, happy child and this has rocked her confidence a little as she is not used to this sort of stupidity and has only recently been allowed to make her own way up to the shop and the playground etc.

Fortunately Sophie and Amy had elder brothers of friends nearby who stopped it escalating into something even more unpleasant.

This is a sad first for us and very disappointing as it should be possible for younger children to move round Mawsley without fear of idiots and thugs trying to start trouble.

Sorry to hear this Sue - your girls are lovely, polite kids who are a credit to you and hubbie. They certainly don't deserve this sort of behaviour and I hope it gets sorted out quickly.
Fingers crossed that Sophie feels better soon.

Thank you Emma, we are very proud of our girls and Sophie is fine, just a little confused as to why anybody feels the need to act that way.

my daughter has also come home complaining of a girl giving her hassle in the park, the description my daughter gave of the girl suggests its the same person.
its absolutely disgraceful that children cant be left to play without being bullied.

Just for reference, I am now aware of who the girl is and I have her name/details etc but am hoping that as a relatively new resident to Mawsley, she will hopefully discover herself that this sort of behaviour is not only unwelcome, but totally uncalled for in this village.

I also thought it best to say nothing at this stage as she is young, and I am hoping that when she gets to know the other children through Youth Group etc, she will not find it necessary to be so aggressive to her new friends and neighbours.

If however this behaviour continues, I would have no issue whatsoever in passing on her details to parents whose children have also been intimidated.

Let's hope she simply chills out.

I shall now slip back into the darkness............

I understand the reasoning behind not doing anything about the girl as she is young however my concern is that if she is not aware that you are on to her why would she change. From the amount of private messages I have received her bullying is certainly not a one off event and I don't want someone to get hurt before something is done. Have you passed your findings onto our local community officer as I know they are very keen to ensure the recent events do not create a fear factor within children in the village wanting to be able to get around the village and just being left alone.

My son also had a run in with this girl up the park calling him names. I did see her up the school this week waiting for another child to come out of school (she does not attend mawsley school as she is about 13yrs old) and having found out she only moved into the village on friday i find it appalling.
